10. Final Fantasy II (IV) - This one was over before I knew it, even on the first go. The first time I finished the game, I really thought there was probably a whole other third act after the final boss. I mean, Culex hadn't even shown up yet and I'd been waiting for him all game. This one isn't as long as you remember it being, and nowadays it's easy enough to clear the SNES version in 9 hours or so. With 4x EXP mods, the Pixel Remaster version can no doubt be cleared in even less time.
9. Firefly - Joss Whedon's space opera is notorious for being at the top of every list of "shows that ended too early" and here it is. Every episode of this show is a great time, every main character is a joy, and there was a tremendous amount of potential here in the world-building and all of the mysteries it laid down. Then...it just kinda ended. Not even a full season of this show that had easily 5-7 seasons worth of ideas to explore.
8. Highlander: The Series - This really needed a full 7 seasons, not the 5 and a half that we got. And the spinoff should have been The Methos Chronicles. Everybody says it, everybody knows it.
7. Super Mario RPG - A game that I was obsessed with for months as a kid. I'd only played a few RPGs at this point in time, but all of them were fairly long with a level cap of 99. Those were the expectations I had for this one, so when it ended in about 12 hours with my characters around level 23, I was more surprised than anything else and wondering where the rest of the game was. It's a great game, regardless. I just wish it were about twice as long as it is.
6. Elden Ring - A bustling world filled with interesting locales, dungeons to explore, and around 150 distinct weapons with different movesets and abilities, this game is wild. I played it for about 250 hours and I don't think I ever completely ran out of things to discover or try out. However at some point it became clear that there wasn't really much left to find, and I'd seen it all. It's one of the largest games of the modern era, but I still wish there was more of it.

What was I doing? A list? Sorry about that.
TOP TEN THINGS THAT WERE TERRIBLE IN GAMES
10. Metroid 1 starting you with 30 health every time you respawn. Whose idea was that?
9. That thing where Brad Pitt beats up "Bruce Lee" in that one movie. Idiotic, disrespectful, and WTF.
8. Torna: The Golden Country requiring you to have done FORTY EIGHT sidequests before you can start the final dungeon. If they're required, they aren't sidequests. And worse still lots of them are locked behind various HM-like abilities, and tier-gating (i.e. only a few are available at a time until you clear most of the ones from the previous grouping) that make the whole thing a bit obnoxious for people just trying to finish the main story.
0.0001. Metroid Other M having that sequence where Samus is BURNING UP and waiting for Adam to give her permission to activate the Varia Suit and stop burning up. The single stupidest scene in video game history and also one of the worst character assassinations.
I can't think of anything worse than that one, so that should do it
