More boss videos, more liner notes. This time it's Yakuza Kiwami, which unfortunately can't hold a candle to Yakuza Zero's boss lineup. It's still a decent game, and pays off the story that Yakuza Zero builds up.

Modern Assassin's Creed

I'm a big fan of this series when they can stick to the fundamentals and avoid microtransactions / things like Facebook connectivity to Facebook Live or Facebook Just Collectin' Information or whatever. Secret of Mana #10 - Carousel

There's no getting into the Mana Fortress without first going to Pure Land (or Mana Holy Land, as it's called in the original Japanese). Because you can't say "holy" in an early SNES game. Before we hit Pure Land, it's time to take a look at some of the weirder places in Secret of Mana.

Highlander: The Series 3x14 - Song of the Executioner

This episode is the beginning of a five-part arc and sorta the beginning of the second half of the series. From here on out the series really hits its stride. I think at this point the creators realized they still hadn't topped Band of Brothers from Season 1, so they...made another Band of Brothers with this episode. If that S1 episode is where the series showed what it could be if it reached its potential, this episode is where the series really starts reaching said potential.

What's the one thing that could have improved Band of Brothers? If it were a multi-parter, because wrapping up that entire story in one episode felt a bit rushed. As a result, this episode begins a new multi-parter that sends Duncan to Paris and introduces a new ancient mentor character, much like Darius was supposed to be. He might be kinda cool, we'll see.

They sure like to talk about Mavolia, the Underworld, considering it's a place you never get to see.

Highlander: The Series 3x13 - Blind Faith

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (Game Boy, 1991)

This is a particularly special game for me, as it was very nearly the first video game I ever bought. Unfortunately (yet very fortunately) the store didn't have it, so I had to "settle" for Kirby's Dream Land instead. Thank goodness. With the new movie out, it was time for me to finally play this game. Let's find out how history might have been different if this game had reached me before Kirby's Dream Land had a chance to intervene. Would it have stopped me from ever getting into video games with its sheer badness? Would Corona Jumper cease to exist? Let's find out.

Super Ghouls n' Ghosts (Super NES, 1991)

It's a Corona Jumper Halloween Spooktacular! Today I look at an insanely difficult game that has caused more than a few gamers to explode over the years. It's from Capcom circa 1991, though, so you know it's awesome.

Ghouls n' Ghosts (Sega Genesis, 1988)

 Time for the mid-quell of the series. Somehow this one gets forgotten a lot in-between the NES' Ghosts n' Goblins and the Super NES' Super Ghouls and Ghosts. Probably a lot like this post, which I'm sandwiching between them in close-proximity.

Ghosts n' Goblins (NES, 1986)

 Oh God, why? Why? For a game that's only about 20 minutes long straight through, this is the most difficult game I've ever played.

Highlander: The Series 3x11 - Vendetta

 A fairly average episode and an uncharacteristic dip in S3's momentum, even if the cover-lady has beautiful lips. Keep in mind that Anne is on the cover of like NO EPISODES.

Honestly, I feel like Anne would only make it onto one if she died in that episode. Which I don't think ever happens, but my point stands.
