This is a particularly special game for me, as it was very nearly the first video game I ever bought. Unfortunately (yet very fortunately) the store didn't have it, so I had to "settle" for Kirby's Dream Land instead. Thank goodness. With the new movie out, it was time for me to finally play this game. Let's find out how history might have been different if this game had reached me before Kirby's Dream Land had a chance to intervene. Would it have stopped me from ever getting into video games with its sheer badness? Would Corona Jumper cease to exist? Let's find out.

Super Ghouls n' Ghosts (Super NES, 1991)
It's a Corona Jumper Halloween Spooktacular! Today I look at an insanely difficult game that has caused more than a few gamers to explode over the years. It's from Capcom circa 1991, though, so you know it's awesome.

Ghouls n' Ghosts (Sega Genesis, 1988)
Time for the mid-quell of the series. Somehow this one gets forgotten a lot in-between the NES' Ghosts n' Goblins and the Super NES' Super Ghouls and Ghosts. Probably a lot like this post, which I'm sandwiching between them in close-proximity.

Ghosts n' Goblins (NES, 1986)
Oh God, why? Why? For a game that's only about 20 minutes long straight through, this is the most difficult game I've ever played.

Secret of Mana #6 - Funhouse Mirror
Funhouse mirrors are known to be distorted reflections of what something is supposed to look like. Which is sorta what we've got with this game, at the end of the day.

Highlander: The Series 3x11 - Vendetta
A fairly average episode and an uncharacteristic dip in S3's momentum, even if the cover-lady has beautiful lips. Keep in mind that Anne is on the cover of like NO EPISODES.
Honestly, I feel like Anne would only make it onto one if she died in that episode. Which I don't think ever happens, but my point stands.

Secret of Mana (Super NES, 1993)
Been wanting to get to this one for a long time. It's one of those rare SNES games that could make a huge impression on the people that played it. It's one of my favorite games of all time, it means an awful lot to me, and it has subtle connections to a lot of other classic Squaresoft games from the era. And the crazy thing is...in some alternate dimensions, there's an even better version of it for the Nintendo PlayStation CD add-on.

Adventures of Mana, Part 4 - All Out
Today on Seiken Densetsu 1 Version 3 HD, our heroes battle Dark Lord. Also, other stuff happens. This is a pretty sweet game, and we're almost to Secret of Mana.

Highlander: The Series 3x10 - Blackmail
This episode is really good, better than expectations based off the Season One-ish title. It features possibly the best swordfight in the series up to this point. The villain, seen here, is played by Anthony DeLongis, the sword trainer for the show and a legit master swordfighter. He's the one who teaches guest stars what they're doing. He's also so charismatic that they made him the villain in not one, but two episodes. The other is way later and he's a different character, but still.
