Suikogaiden: Vol. 2 - Duel at Crystal Valley (Playstation, 2000)
A little over a year ago, I covered Suikogaiden Vol. 1. Just seemed like a good time to check out the sequel. So far so good, this is one of the nicest title screens I've seen in a long time.

Breath of Fire (Super NES, 1993)
The first in a fairly popular series of RPGs from Capcom. I'm just doing one post for this game; played it in the past and don't want to go through it again. Taking a look at the first hour or two of the game should be fun, though.
This is a game that has a bit of history with me. This, 7th Saga, and Secret of Mana were three RPGs that I rented and attempted to play through before I really liked RPGs. I didn't get too far with any of them (maybe 5% of the way through the other two, about a quarter of the way through this one) before hitting roadblocks. In 7th Saga it was the Red Pison fight. In Secret of Mana it was the Fire Gigas fight. In this game, I got to a part where you need to acquire a gold bar to proceed. They cost 65000 G and I legitimately thought you needed to farm that much gold, which would take hours upon hours of battles, so I quit. Turns out you can get a gold bar in a nearby dungeon (but if you sell it for 32500 G, then you'll have to farm the rest of the 65000 after all). What a weird idea for a quest.
In any case, once the inarguably-awesome Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI made me really like RPGs, I revisited this one and finished the game. It's a good one. Taking a quick look at it today. No series, just one quick look.

The Best of Final Fantasy
Today I'm going to look at what I consider the best of Final Fantasy. Complete with pictures and videos and everything. It's going to be sa-weet. Since I haven't played the online XI and XIV (yet), this will only include the main series games from one to thirteen. No spinoffs or -2's, either. Let's get to it.

Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall #2 - Wilhelm Scream
After spinning my wheels for about an hour trying to figure out how to level up, and unable to find any enemies to fight, I eventually went full Renegade. Next thing we know, Gazpacho the WILD MAN went on a rampage in a town, killing everyone in his path before being apprehended by guards. Will Gazpacho do time in D-Block, being passed around by Julio "Sugar Bear" Martinez? NO! I THOUGHT I WAS PAST THOSE DAYS!

Ultima: Quest of the Avatar (NES, 1990)
The best Ultima game on the NES... or any console, really. While it's an adaptation of Ultima IV, It's completely different than the PC version, much like Exodus. Unlike Exodus, this game is infinitely more playable. Let's get on with it.

Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall (PC, 1996)
IT BEGINS. The second game in the series, which might well be the largest videogame ever made in landmass, scope, and amount of content. No joke. Hard to believe they released this two years after Arena, given the five+ year development time on every game since. Join me as I do tons of character creation, and a minor amount of actual playing!
In other news, I decided that for the month of July, I'm going to try to do a post every single day and set an unbreakable post record of 31 for the month. I've gotten up around 20 once or twice, but this will be a first. I'll be covering a few games and bouncing around more than a WWE Diva going for a jog.

Highlander: The Series 2x11 - The Fighter
The recent flurry of Duncan Macleod posts is continuing for a couple more days, as I want to get to a very non-special episode called "Bless the Child". But first, here's yet another episode where Duncan must deal with a troubled old friend. I'd hate to be friends with this guy, seriously.
This is the boxing episode. Because there had to be a boxing episode somewhere. Fun Fact: This episode got Highlander temporarily called "the most violent show on TV" because the idiots who keep track of these things count it by punches thrown and only watched this one episode.

Highlander: The Series 2x09 - Run For Your Life
Finally, another good episode. It's been a few. While the last one was very Walker: Texas Ranger, this one has a super Quantum Leap-y vibe... which can only be a good thing.

Elder Scrolls: Arena Finale - Mordorith
Time to finish this game up and move on to greener pastures, as I storm the Imperial Palace and fight Jagar Tharn.

Elder Scrolls: Arena #5 - Between Doors
I
wouldn't say you're too fake if the first thing you do is be brutally
honest while introducing yourself. Isn't that the opposite of fake?
Unless she's faking being fake, thereby causing her fakeness to be a
self-fulfilling prophecy. Now I'm just confused. It's like John Connor
sending his dad back in time to father himself.
In any case, the game is winding to a
close surprisingly quickly. In game-time, that is. It has barely
taken me 20 hours to get close to the end, which is short for a game in
this series.

Elder Scrolls: Arena #4 - Battle of Evermore
In the latest episode, I pass the halfway point of the game and go after artifacts. Rated T for Teen.

Elder Scrolls: Arena #3 - The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn
Bellydancers strut their stuff as the heroic Bob Marley
Sting looks for the next piece of the Staff of Chaos. Which would be
nothing more than a lit blunt if Bob Marley had created it. In this
episode I get the second and third of the eight fragments as the battle
for Tamriel dungeon-crawls onward. Stir it up.

Highlander: The Series 2x06 - The Zone
Time for one of the worst episodes of this show. It isn't as bad as Season One's low points, but it really isn't good. In this one, Duncan must deal with the bad side of Seacouver, The Zone. Nobody goes into The Zone. In other words, going into The Zone is a lot like putting Baby in a corner.
