Highlander 4x15 - Promises

Time for the Paris episodes of Season 4. I said before that I think Season 4 is the only one where the Seacouver episodes are better than the Paris episodes...we'll see if I still think that as the season progresses.

Highlander 4x14 - Deliverance

What I once thought was one of the apex episodes in the series... is STILL really good, even as not-into Evil Duncan as I am now. It's the 12th and mercifully final day of Christmas, and the last nod goes to Highlander.

Highlander 4x13 - Something Wicked

The 12 Days of Christmas continues with a Highlander post. This is the first half of S4's big two-parter.

Brought to you by Established Titles! ...no it's not.

Highlander 4x12 - The Blitz

Today on Highlander: Emotional episode with a nice epitaph. We finally find out what Duncan has been restoring that house for over the whole season. And more Richie! Enjoy it while it lasts because he's about to disappear for like ten episodes. Also featuring the greatest Sassy Female Reporter in this entire series.

Highlander 4x11 - Timeless

Very good episode here. It's a tale of two women, one who'd like to be immortal and one who'd like to be mortal. And also Duncan dressed as a woman.

Highlander 4x10 - Chivalry

Today on Highlander: Richie gets laid! Methos returns! And the story of how Duncan learned to dress respectably!

Highlander 4x09 - The Wrath of Kali

Highlander posts seem to be the most-read and most commented on posts on here, so it's time we do more of 'em. This one here is probably an average episode by most standards, maybe a shade above average. However for me, it's one of my favorite episodes. I think it was one of the first ones I saw as a kid, since I started really watching this early in S4. Prior to that I'd only sometimes caught it in the first 3 seasons. I had no idea who Kalas was until the DVD sets came out years later. In any case, here we go, one of my first episodes and one of my favorites, and I'm going to use WAY too many words.

Highlander 4x08 - Reluctant Heroes

This episode contains a Fop. A Dandy Lad. Anyone who has seen Rob Roy knows how despicable an evil foppish dandy can be. Outside of a strong villain (another of the many who should have lasted more than one episode), there isn't a lot to this one. We get some good Duncan and Richie hangout moments though, and I'll enjoy those while they last since Richie is entirely absent from the last 40% or so of the season.

Highlander 4x07 - The Colonel

This is a pretty formulaic episode that feels more like something out of S1 or S2, with a very cut-and-dry caricature of a villain. That said, even an iffy Highlander episode tends to still have some cool moments, so let's go.

Highlander 4x03 - The Innocent

This episode deals with something no other episodes dare touch on: What would happen if an immortal were special needs? An episode that probably wouldn't be made today, it's kind of sad and unhappy but I'll make the most of it. Let's goooo.

Highlander 4x02 - Brothers in Arms

Season 4 does the same thing Season 3 does and has a really relevant second episode. Either of these could have been the season premiere. While 3-02 deals with Duncan's Native American time period, this one deals with Joe Dawson's history.

Highlander: The Series 3x19 - Mortal Sins

Today on Highlander: Not just a good episode, but a particularly significant one in terms of plot developments. This was also the highest-rated episode in the series up to this point in terms of TV ratings by a good margin. Though it'd be topped a few weeks later for "Finale" and then that'd be topped a bunch of times as it went on. The ratings really shot up during S3 and this is about when they hit their apex.
