Wario Land 2 (GB/GBC)
Electric Boogaloo
Time for the sequel to the game that started a franchise. Is this game worth its salt, or should Nintendo have stopped with the rad-to-the-max first game? Read on to find out what I think.

Wario Land (GB)
The best part is, Waluigi is nowhere to be found
Wario Land was one of the first Game Boy games I owned. I think it was the fourth. I got a hell of a lot of enjoyment out of this game. Initially it was billed as "Super Mario Land 3"... personally I found it to be a much better game than the other two Mario Land titles on the Game Boy. With the advent of the actual Wario Land series (four games altogether!) the SML3 tag quickly dropped off the face of the Earth. Now it's referred to universally as Wario Land. Join me as I take a look at the game.

Hagane (SNES)
Jungle of Massacre
Today, I'll be talking about an SNES game that is actually really good, one that I played a few years ago. Unfortunately, almost no one else played it. Chances are, you've never heard of it. Hagane is, in a way, the spiritual successor to the old NES Ninja Gaiden games. It's the closest the SNES ever got to Ninja Gaiden 4 (or more likely, "Super Ninja Gaiden 4"). It's unfortunate that it didn't have the NG name to boost it to prominence.

The Top Seventeen Final Boss Themes in Gaming
Today I'm listing what I consider to be the seventeen best final boss themes of all time. There are many final boss themes that I've never heard, so your mileage may vary. Honorable mention goes to the final boss theme of Yoshi's Island for the SNES.

Game Review: Mass Effect 3
March 2012
PC, XBox360, PS3
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Developer: Bioware
Time to Complete: 35-40 hours
Mass Effect 3 is, thus far, one of the most eagerly-awaited games of 2012 by far. The first two Mass Effects are among the most beloved sci-fi action-RPGs of all time, and expectations for the third installment were running high for months in advance of release. Luckily for the players, the finale to this epic trilogy manages to meet most of the expectations set forth by the playerbase. It has a bit of a slow start, but once it gets going it is as epic as its predecessors.

Kirby's Dream Land (GB)
The Beginning of an Era
Kirby's Dream Land was the first game I ever owned, and as a result it has a special place in my memory. I can still remember perusing the game shelves for my first game, and choosing Kirby mainly based on the colorful, eye-catching box art. I'd have certainly gone with Mario, but the store didn't have either of the Mario Land games that existed at the time. As a result, I went with Kirby. It's one of the easiest games I've ever played, which makes it perfect as a first game for anyone. It's a short (15 minutes or so if you're familiar with it), unassuming game, but little did anyone know that it would spawn a whole series of Kirby games that would catapult the "tough cream puff" into the pantheon of legendary Nintendo characters.
